What is an Apprenticeship?
Yes, it is a real job where you learn while you work with an employer and earn an agreed salary reflecting your full time/part time position. Depending on the apprenticeship(s) the programme is fully/partly funded by the government to support the development and enhancement of work skills to encourage both employers and employees to meet the everchanging landscape of Digital skills. Yes, you get a Job contract to cover the duration of employment with holidays, the employer will state the requirements, skills, behaviour and knowledge that you as an apprentice will need to carryout your duties and responsibilities to the best of your abilities. The duration of your apprenticeship /job commitment will be subject to the level and area of work you select, as a minimum your programme duration will be 15 months (to 30 months)
You must:
- Be 16 or over
- not already be in full-time education
- live in England
- Employed with an employment contract when you start the apprenticeship
- Have employer consent for pursuing an Apprenticeship at the appropriate level in the relevant sector.
Your Commitments:
- Attend training, assessments and employment. (On-Site/Off-Site/Remote/Online/Hybrid)
- Work in partnership with your employer/mentor to complete the planned jobs
- Review meetings (Face-Face / Remote) with the tutor/mentor/employer.
- Learn and train for a specific job role planned by your employer
- Get hands-on experience in a real job in your new work environment
- Study for at least 20% of your working hours with training provider
- Complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
- Plan your future career path with lots of future potential
