Apprenticeship Programme Content

The Apprenticeship Programme is made up of three main sections:

Portfolio - a record of “on the job” activities and training assessed by competent and qualified staff within the workplace
Technical Certificate - off the job training (theory/knowledge) that compliments the portfolio of on the job training and meets standards set by various industry sectors
Functional Skills - a generic set of skills required for any job role covering Maths, English and Computer Literacy
Eligibility Criteria*

To be eligible for Apprenticeships Funding, candidates must:

  • Not hold a Level 4 qualification or higher
  • Not be studying towards a degree qualification, or hold a degree qualification
  • Hold a valid contract of employment with an employer
  • Have employer consent for pursuing an Apprenticeship at the appropriate level in the relevant sector
  • Resident in the country for a minimum of 3 years
