Raj Doshi, the director of 5E Ltd made the following announcement in October 2009 on the successes of 5E Ltd so far as well as its most recent achievement, the Beacon Status Award from LSIS:
It gives me great pleasure to thank the staff, partners and funding agencies on our hallmark achievement of Beacon Status. It’s a recognition for retaining our ALI Grade 1 in Leadership and Management in three Ofsted inspections from 2003 to 2008.
This would not have been possible for an organisation to achieve without the support of every member of this wonderful family. The past 10 years have been an exciting journey in terms of growth from a small local provider to medium regional provider with expansion to 6 centres in North and North East London.
5E has grown extensively and acquired specialisation from training to employment brokerage and pre-employment services. We also expanded our ESOL provision, NVQ training, ICT engineering, e-learning and IAG services.
We have successfully delivered programmes for the Learning Skills Council, Department for Works and Pensions, London Councils, London Development Agency, University of Industry, European Social Fund, Government Office for London, Urban Futures, College of North East London, Middlesex University and Action 4 Employment.
5E has been highly acclaimed for its quality services. The climate of funding is changing rapidly due to economic downturn with limited resources being targeted at the most disadvantaged, and the competition for funds being intense. This certainly brings uncertainty in the planning processes.
I am however quite confident that the organisation’s excellent reputation of delivering its quality provision, coupled with sincerity and ‘accessibility for all’ ethos will prevail. I’m sure that as a team we will continue to fulfil our vision, mission and the company’s ethos.
The success of 5E in this fast changing world is entirely credited to its staff. I would like to thank them all for the flexibility, commitment and hard work they have put in through the years.
