2010 has been a golden year for 5E Ltd. Rated outstanding by Ofsted and a Gold Standard Award by IBP add to the many laurels that the company has acquired over the years. This year, 5E has been rated as one of the top twelve providers of work based learning by Ofsted. The Ofsted report noted: ‘good attention is paid to providing off-the-job training for learners. Sessions are tailored to provide high levels of individual support and attendance is high’.
5E is synonymous with providing excellent education and training especially for those vulnerable and deprived communities in the UK which are struggling to break the communication barrier and find employment in these troubling times.
“Your contribution is vital to improving people’s job prospects and helping employer’s to achieve growth,” said John Hayes, Minister of State for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning in a letter to 5E. He added that “the inclusion would provide an example for other organisations to follow”.
The ESOL/Literacy classes are running to their maximum capacity and there is a strong focus on employability skills that help clients not just learn English but also prepare them for the job market. Reneta Shijaku completed her Literacy & Numeracy Level 1 a month early and went on to do her Numeracy Level 2 from Learndirect.
“It was possible because 5E staff helped me a lot. I also got an interview call,” she said. 5E is continuously introducing short training provisions for those who are almost job ready and are looking to simply enhance their soft skills and understand the demands of the job market. Paulyn Bangura, a biomedical graduate was struggling to find employment without any prior work experience.
“I would describe the project as efficient and innovative. It combines the support of a learning environment, the advice and help included with this and the proficiency of a recruitment agency,” said Paulyn. “I achieved confidence, effective job application skills and interview skills that enabled me to attain a job.” While uncertainty continues to prevail in UK’s economic scenario, 5E is optimistic about the future.“ A motivated and hardworking client can beat all odds if provided with the right support and training. And that’s what we always strive to do at 5E,” said Raj Doshi, Managing Director, 5E Ltd. Raj Doshi credits much of 5E’s success to its dynamic staff.
