The Skills Pledge aims to achieve a shared understanding of the value of training and encourage businesses to invest in skills accordingly. 5E has made the pledge. 5E Ltd was awarded LSIS Beacon Status on 6th July 2009.
Beacon status, awarded by the LSIS (Learning and Skills Improvement Service) provides public recognition of excellence and innovation within the further education system. It celebrates learning providers that are outstandingly led and managed and deliver outstanding teaching and learning.

5E also achieved an overall Grade 1 (Outstanding) in the Ofsted Inspection in 2008. Ofsted is Britain’s official inspection body. They inspect education and training for learners of all ages and then report their findings to the public, and directly to Parliament (they do not report to government ministers, and this independence ensures impartiality of information).

IIP is the UK’s leading people management standard. They provide a framework to help thousands of organisations of all sizes and sectors to improve their business performance. Their vision is to increase the productivity of the UK economy by improving the way in which organisations manage and develop their people, leading to business improvement and better public services.

The matrix Standard is the unique quality framework for the effective delivery of information, advice and/or guidance on learning and work. It is useful for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance to external clients as part of their business and also for employers who are committed to developing their people.

The British Accreditation Council has provided a comprehensive quality assurance scheme for independent further and higher education in the UK since 1984. This accreditation is recognised the world over by students, agents and government officials as the clearest mark of educational quality in the private sector. As of 2009, new regulations have come into effect so that visas are granted only to students at accredited institutions.

OCR is a leading UK awarding body, committed to providing qualifications that engage learners of all ages at school, college, in work or through part-time learning programmes to achieve their full potential.

NCFE is a leading provider of nationally recognised qualifications committed to delivering exceptional customer service, it aims to promote and advance the education and training of young persons and adults.

CompTIA is the non-profit trade association advancing the global interests of information technology (IT) professionals and companies including manufacturers, distributors, resellers, and educational institutions. Since 1982 CompTIA has supported and led the global IT industry through educational programs, market research, networking events, professional certifications, and political advocacy.

The Institute of Leadership and Management is the UK’s largest awarding body for leadership and management qualifications. Partnered with over 2,000 ILM-approved centres, comprising private training providers, further and higher education colleges, and employers, ILM delivers in-house management training.

Formed in 1957, The British Computer Society is the leading industry body for IT professionals. The BCS is focused on improving the reality and perception of professionalism in Information Technology, and intends to make IT the equivalent of any other profession.

With a fast growing membership of over 40,000 IT professionals, the BCS has members in over 100 countries. The BCS is a Chartered body, and confers Chartered Engineer, Chartered Scientist or Chartered IT Professional status on members who meet these high standards of excellence.

Prometric is the recognised global leader in technology-enabled testing and assessment services. Prometric operates a test centre network composed of over 3,000 sites in 135 countries, including 5E! All 5E’s advanced ITC courses are examined using Prometric testing.

5E is approved to deliver and examine City & Guilds qualifications. City & Guilds is the UKs leading awarding body, offering more than 500 qualifications across 28 industry sectors, through 8500 approved learning providers.

5E is approved to deliver and examine ECDL qualifications. The ECDL certificate is a globally recognised ICT and digital literacy certification. The ECDL certification is recognised and supported by governments, computer societies, international organisations and commercial corporations.

We are a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, an accreditation only awarded to Microsoft partners that have proven levels of competence for their people, their processes and their services. Gold Certified Partners are elite IT service organisations who have earned the highest levels of customer endorsement. They have demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and commitment to implement technology solutions matching customers’ exact business needs.

5E is approved to deliver and examine the widely respected IT certification programs available through Cisco Career Certifications. They bring valuable, measurable rewards to network professionals, their managers, and the organisations that employ them. Cisco is a multinational corporation which designs and sells networking and communications technology and services.

Greenmark has recognised 5E for its environmental performance and is the leading certification for organisations improving their environmental performance. Greenmark offers a low cost and easy to follow award to help organisations save money by reducing costs through energy saving techniques and following green policies for procurement. Greenmark was established by the London Metropolitan University with development funded by the LDA

The VMware IT Academy Program is an important component of VMware education programs. At 5E, we are accredited to offer IT courses in VMware technologies, equipping students with the technical skills necessary to compliment their chosen fields of study.
