This qualification is ideal for learners who want to get the best out of computers. Designed as an alternative to the NVQ ITQ route, it has classroom-based learning. The course helps to build skills and confidence in a range of area including word-processing, spreadsheets and database, desktop publishing and web design.
To gain this qualification, learners can also take Microsoft Office Specialist units in Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Powerpoint. Through this qualification, learners are also able to attain the MCAS (Microsoft Certified Application Specialist) qualification.
Duration
10 – 16 weeks
Evening and weekend classes are available, and the course is free through Train to Gain (eligibility criteria apply).

Assessment
Candidates will have to complete one practical assignment alongside five online assessments.
