Most organisations need to manage large amounts of information and contact details – whether it is to let customers know about new products or special offers, keep staff records up-to-date or monitor and control stock levels.
This course gives you the skills you need to use database software to store, organise and retrieve information quickly and efficiently.
The course follows real-life examples of people as they learn how to manage information in their workplace. You’ll be shown exactly what a database is and what sort of tasks it can help you with.
You’ll learn how to store data, how to add, amend and delete data and how to sort and order data so that the information you need is always at your fingertips.
You’ll also discover how to create reports and present the information in your database in a well laid out and professional way.
By the time you’ve completed the course, you’ll have all the skills you need to create a well-ordered database, keep it accurate and up-to-date and pull out selected information to present in report form.

10 – 40 hours working at your own pace.
