The Chartered Institute for IT (BCS) is a professional membership and accreditation body for IT established in 1957. BCS is governed by a Royal Charter and is also an awarding body. It has over 70,000 members worldwide and offers a wide range of IT courses. You can also be a member of BCS which can lead to Chartered IT Professional status or Chartered Engineer status (CEng). BCS also has a licence from the Science Council to award Chartered Scientist status (CSci).
